  1. I use WLW with my website as well. It works fine.

  2. i will like to give it a try…i never used such client before

  3. The only thing that stopping me from from using Windows Live Writer is table support.

There is no easy way to create table (point , select how many cells and click) like MS Frontpage

It is probably just me. Most bloggers do not need to draw tables in their blogs.

  4. I’m going to give it a try, thanks for your review. 🙂

  5. Used it for a while. It has some bugs. Still don’t know how to post pages in WLW. But for posts it’s ok.

    1. @Dm1t: Latest version of WLW supports Page Creation. Select New>>Page for creating page in your wordpress blog.

  6. I’ve used Post2Blog for a while ago. WLW seems an interesting alternative 😀

  7. It seems interesting, I will give it try. Thanks for this info 🙂

  11. I love this software – I gotta admit. It saves me a heap of time and effort. But I do have some concern – I do need to start upgrading a few of my blogs soon and am worried it is going to break.

  12. WLW does not support OSes based on the NT platform

so for my Windows server 2003 i have to use Post2blog

  13. Windows Live Writer doesn’t run on my Microsoft Windows Home Edition and that is one of it’s disadvantages. At work on WinXp Professional everything runs smooth.
By the way, you mention only WordPress 2.3, and how about recent WordPress 2.5? Is it supported?

  14. Bhumika » Nope…WLW’s latest version supports WordPress 2.3 Tags also. Just use Keywords field in it. Keywords(in WLW) means Tags in WordPress 2.3 and Categories as usual for categories.
