Comment Tuesday Series No 3 – Free 125×125 Ad

If you had visited my blog around March, for two consecutive weeks, I ran a post series named Comment Tuesday Series. It was started in order to get a increase in commenting activities. Now after so many months, I am restarting this series and intend it to make it even better. Earlier you got only 1 blogroll link for a week by winning the prize. This time, you will win a full 125×125 Ad for 1 week. Also all the people who comment here will also get return comments if I found their site good enough to encourage community commenting also.

So here is this week’s question:

Many Blogs I found have hidden the dates on their posts, from homepage, from single post pages and even from comments. I know that there intention is to make your posts look fresh even if certain gap is left between posts. But what about your loyal readers then? Also its difficult to remove dates from your feeds. So there is no logic behind hiding dates. Instead one should concentrate on posting more regularly to attract even more visitors.

What do you think? Hiding Dates is good or not? What do you prefer?

Yes of course dates are very important and they can be subjected to changed according to the post we publish. If it’s gonna change such as news and headlines then it has to be changed.

It really depends on the categories and topics of the blog. There are times that there is a need to omit the dates in blog posts. This is true if in general all of the blog posts has timeless information. But if the blog is about news and information that rapidly change in time, of course, dates is very very important.

Actually, I never noticed. But since you brought it to my attention, I would NOT want to see the dates omitted.

I have hidden dates and I don’t think I have it to give my posts a fresh look..

Infact It is quite unnecessary for the post to have dates on them.. Also ads are neatly blended inbetween the title and the content due to the removal of date.. no. of comments and category area..
