Plugins used at NSpeaks - Part 1

Well I was thinking about my next post, when it struck me why not tell people what all wordpress plugins I use in my blog here.

Well then here goes a long list of plugins sorted alphabetically used on NSpeaks.com

  1. Adsense-Deluxe - It is a must install plugins for all wordpress blogs. It allows you to add Adsense ads anywhere on a blog without worrying about the maximum number of ads on a page or adding code manually by editing files each time. Just install the plugin and then you can add Adsense or any ads for that matter in your posts, sidebar, header and footer.
  2. Akismet - Another indespensible plugin for Wordpress. It is the best spam blocker plugin for Wordpress. It filters all the spam comments on your blog. And mind me, it hardly fails to recognise spam comments. It has almost 99.99% success rate with comment filtering. For using this plugin you need Akismet API key which you can get from Wordpress. You don’t even need to create a blog there for it, just register for account and use the API key generated on your blog’s Akismet plugin.
  3. All in One SEO Pack - It is a great plugin for getting your blog seo optimised. You can add custom page titles for your posts and specify custom keyword tags for each individual post page. This definitely helps in increasing your blog seo rankings. Not only this it also allows you to deindex archive and category pages preventing duplicate content penalty. It also ads meta tags for your blog homepage and has lots of other options as well.
  4. Full Text Feed - This plugin removes tag from your feeds. This problem was introduced in Wordpress 2.1 as a feature. I hate this feature since nowdays its a bad idea to offer partial feeds.
  5. Google (XML) Sitemaps - This plugin generates sitemaps for your blog automatically and notifies google about it. This helps a lot since google can index all your pages more easily with the help of sitemaps.
  6. Gregarious - This plugin ads any custom content below your posts. It also can generate a dynamic digg button and display along with your post. It also supports Redit and lot of other sites via ShareThis Plugin included in it.
  7. LinkLove - This Plugin allows you to remove nofollow tags from your commentors link after they make a certain amount of posts. I show my LinkLove here.
  8. MBLA - This plugin shows either mybloglog avatars or gravatars in your comment form. I am using Mybloglog.
  9. Subscribe to Comments - This plugin allows commentors to subscribe to any new comments on a post. I would recommend this plugin as a must have on any blog.

Post is too long for now, part 2 is coming soon. :)

Yes why not. There are many shoutbox plugins for wordpress available from http://pierre.sudarovich.free.fr/ or http://rudd-o.com/projects/wordspew/

There are several others which you can find on wordpress.org/extend/plugins/
