Performancing Ads – What’s that?

If you are visiting my site and seeing something new in right sidebar – that’s PerformancingAds Box. Performancing launched a blogger ad network yesterday and the widget you see on right is part of it.

First things first, PerformancingAds supports only 125×125 banner advertising. Yes, a new adnetwork which only offers limited option of this size only. But since bloggers all over the world are using this format to the max, you should still have lot of opportunities to monetise. What I like about the network is its simplicity. No complicated things. Just add your site, define a region and set your price.

Here is a screenie to show you how easy it seems to add the site after registering:

Adding ads in Performancing Ads

So looks easy? After you add the site, it appears in marketplace and depending on your alexa rank, it automatically gets into the list of featured sites which are displayed sitewide. And if your alexa ranks breaks top 100,00 your site can reach homepage too. After adding the site, just install the wordpress plugin and use their widget to display ads on your sidebar. Use the region id found on your spublishers homepage.(check the number on the url of your site’s page – that number is the region id). BTW publishers can even put a dofollow tag on ads displayed on their blogs.

Now the problem…publishers can earn only 50% of their set price. A huge cut according to me. Performancing should consider it lowering atleast to encourage new signups.

Payments are made monthly via Paypal(only) without the need of minimum payout threshold. (hurray!)

BTW there is a method of getting more adformats(300×250, 160×600 and 728×90) under performancing. Be their premium publisher. To be a premium publisher, your site should have more than 250,000 US pageviews per month. Check the word US….it specifies US traffic specially.

To apply as a premium publisher, visit here.

Publishers can get more exposure via Exchange Ads feature. It allows you to earn credits for showing ads and in return you can use those credits to show your ads on other’s blogs.

Advertisers – You can get $25 extra worth for first $100 spend on advertising via PerformancingAds. Nice incentive. Publishers should also get a nice incentive like this. Advertisers can view a lot of details related to site. See the screenie for what I mean:

Site Stats page

Site Stats page

So advetiser should get enough details regarding a site’s popularity.

PerofmancingAds also supports a affiliate program.  You earn $10 for every new publisher or advertiser signed up under your link. One also gets 5% of advertiser spends throughout life.

UPDATE: Strangely I could not find any place where I can know that how many affiliates I referred or what will be my commission via my affiliates? How am I gonna know it. Performancing – pls fix this problem.

UPDATE: Affiliate reports are live now. Thanks Performancing.

So signup now to make money from a nice promising network.

The alexa ranks issue bothers me too … alexa rank is very inaccurate. I have a lot of domains currently parked while I try and find time to develop them and I think I might just check them out as both a publisher and advetiser, I do like the idea of no pay threshold and the paypal payment is a plus for those like me who live in other countries and have to pay huge fees to cash US affiliate payments. :D

I guess I’m worse than lazy. Often, I contribute to my blog, but I don’t think anybody reads it.

I dunno if i like the idea of it based on Alexa rank ( probably just cause mine sucks. ) are they even relevant anymore? No payment threshold does sound nice though. I might look into it in a few months PTC sites seem to be a dime a dozen lately. :bandit:
