Send upto 3GB in file attachment. Yes, that’s what Lycos.com Email Service offers. I just checked them out. They offer 3GB Email space and unlimited file attachment size. So if you have a empty email inbox, you can try uploading 3GB attachment, but you are still limited by the person receiving the mail unless he/she is on lycos.com too.
So if you want to share big files, use Lycos.com Email Service.

That would be pretty useful because I couldn’t send e-mail with 15 mb attachment neither via hotmail nor gmail.

As far as I remember, Gmail allows 20MB attachment size.

I would be very annoyed if someone sent me a 3GB e-mail attachment!
Thats what Rapidshare and megaupload are for.

I’m with you on that one Misty! Trouble is you don’t know how large an attachment is until it’s blocking your mail server for a couple of minutes!

Great! Yahoo offers 20MB with the free version, don’t know abt Gmail.

Before I knew what I was doing on the Internet 5 years ago, I used to try to e-mail my friends music, lol.
Yes, I know about the restrictions of the recipient. My aunt still has dial up and she complains every time I send her photos!

Thanks for the info! I realize that the file sharing programs work just as well but if the email service is good then I might just switch to Lycos and have all my other emails forwarded there…you can never have too much space, and it’s annoying when an attachment won’t go through.
