World’s Cheapest Car at $2500

Tata NANOStrange looking title on a blog about blogging? Well I am proud to be a Indian and the fact that this is the biggest moment for India and its Automotive industry, I couldn’t resist posting about this.

One of the Largest Commercial vehicle makers in India on Thursday launched Tata NANO - World’s Cheapest car priced at only Rs 100,000($2500). Using innovative techniques of cost cutting and superior engineering Tata made this possible despite rising costs of raw materials like Iron, Steel and other metals and equipements.

    The concept is Nice.. But its gonna be a Head-Ache in near future,,,

    I saw the news this afternoon… They think they gonna sell 50 Lacs Cars (Figure might be wrong…) each year…
    Now think do we have that much space on road…
    In Banglore Traffic Police are allready thinking of introducing an “alternate day run” system.

    my sister’s friend has already signed up for a tata nano. she will be gettng one of those first tata nano’s to leave the factory :D

    They won’t be able to sell in some european countries because it dosen’t meet safety regulations, so they will have to ugrade these for some markets thus taking the price much higher :sad:
