Sorry for a bit late report though its not even 24 hours since Wordpress 2.3.1 has been released. This new release fixes 24 bugs of which 1 is a serious security bug. This new release adds support for Tags in Windows Live Writer though its possible in 2.3 via a hack. Also 2.3.1 promises to be faster in performing taxonomy operations.
Bored of Updating Wordpress Again and again and redownloading? Want to do without a plugin but fastly. For updating Wordpress 2.3 to 2.3.1 download this zip file and extract all the files and overwrite on your 2.3 blog directory. This zip file is only for updating from 2.3 to 2.3.1
I did the same to my blog, so trust me. 
Would be very interested in a link to a glossary of terms. I see the word “affiliate” all over, but do not know exactly what it means. I am trying to start a blog but would like to have my act at least somewhat together when I give it a go! Thanx.
