You may have noticed Blogrush Widget on my sidebar for past 3 days. Well I am testing it since and have come to some conclusions though doubts still appear in my mind.
I am constantly seeing credits increasing on my dashboard since the day they launched dashboard stats. I have got 401 credits till now. And my blog headlines have got 384 impressions. Credit to impression ratio seems very impressive but what bothers me is the number of clicks which are still 0. For 384 impressions, I didn’t got any click. And seems I am not alone. Darren of Problogger and John of JohnTP have got too few clicks for the number of impressions they got.
Blogrush should seriously work towards improving the Clickthrough Rate. This is what they say about low Clickthrough Rates:
IMPORTANT MESSAGE: Click- through rates are very low right now due to problems with some users cheating the system. We are a few days away from removing all abuse from the system and you will see your click-rates increase. We are also moving to a Manual Review Process for all member blogs which will also increase the traffic you receive. Thank you for your patience — we’re working hard to improve this beta version of our service.
I hope they improve upon this soon. One thing more people are afraid of its comptability with Adsense. But I don’t think Blogrush violates Adsense TOS since we don’t force you to click headlines, neither there is any gurantee of traffic exchange irrespective of the amount we earn credits for whereas in TrafficExchanges we get sure traffic for number of credits we earn. And neither any blog is directly linked.
And for those who don’t know Blogrush will soon introduce Blogrush Flavors which will allow us to change the look of widget according to our blog’s themes. I am eagerly waiting for this to be launched.
I will test Blogrush for 1 or 2 months and if it fails to give results still, It will leave my sidebar. Currently I can’t say whether its worthy of using it. I think we all should give it a try for atleast 2 months and then see whether it really benefits or not.
Note: I just noticed my sidebar was too long with not much useful content. So I have decreased its height. Hope you like the improvement.

Personally I think since it has started couple of days ago only we have to wait and see for couple of months whether it really brings traffic to our blog or not.
I hope it will make a good bloggers network around the world through this widget.

Everyone except John Chow is happy with Blog Rush. Despite my terrible results with it so far, I think 4-5 clicks, I am also experimenting with post titles to see if it will improve the CTR with regards to Blog Rush. Furthermore, I’m like most bloggers, leaving it in really bad blog estate so I will probably leave it as such until a coupla months to see overall results and whether BR improves.
Blogrush seems really “iffy” right now. The ctr is really bad, but they say it will improve as they deal with a group of people who are cheating the system at the moment. Righting interesting titles is obviously important to ctr too, but everyone still seems to not receive much traffic from it. I’ll probably give it a couple of months as well, then I will evaluate whether or not it is worth it.
